The Herzog Family is a traditional family band whose roots and love for the traditional and gospel Bluegrass style of music run very deep. The band was formed in the summer of 2003. They started out with a four piece band with only two instruments playing. The band has various instruments that are now played on stage. The band first began when parents Doug and Rene' Herzog saw potential in their children's picking and singing.

Mom, Rene' has always enjoyed playing music and singing on stage with friends and family. It has always come natural to her, and was always a lifetime dream of hers starting at a very young age. She started attending bluegrass festivals and Jam sessions with her parents when she was just a young toddler. She first sang in public at the age of five in church. The family noticed more musical roots through the third generation of the family, where Rene' and Doug's oldest son Justin started teaching himself how to play many different instruments at the age of 12. He then passed the talent down to younger twin siblings Brittany and Forrest Herzog.

The family's first public performance as a band, was when they were asked to perform for a fundraiser. The band has played for many venues. The band is well known for their crowd pleasing, rich, and powerful harmonies. The band now consists of Rene' Herzog (mom)who does lead vocals, and band coordinating, Doug Herzog (dad) who manages the band and plays upright bass, Justin Herzog (oldest son), 21, Banjo, Dobro, and Barritone Vocals, Twins: Forrest Herzog, 15, Guitar, and High Tenor Vocals, and Brittany Herzog, 15, Mandolin, and Vocals.

The band gives all their thanks and glory to the Lord for giving each one their talent, and also their close friends, and family for standing by their side through each step of their journey. They look forward to seeing and visiting with each and everyone in their audiences, and also sharing the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Phil Koester, a resident of Groesbeck, Texas has been singing since a very young age. His singing career has allowed him to be part of Glory Train (men's quartet) and founder of the Gospel Caravan. Phil has a great love for his Lord and enjoys the ministry of music. He is also the music leader for The First Methodist Church of Groesbeck. Phil mostly enjoys performing with his friends at various gospel venues. These venues are, the Gospel Music Celebration and the Gospel Caravan. Phil has had the opportunity to perform throughout East and Central Texas. Phil is married to his life long love Jean. They have two children Pamela and Paul. Phil enjoys gardening and spending time with his family.

Kenneth Crocker's ministry started when he was a young lad in French Camp, Mississippi. He sang at many local operi houses in the greater Mississippi area. His voice has a bluegrass/country tone. He has written many songs and will be sharing some of these at the "An Evening of Gospel Music". His songs reflect his feelings about his Lord, Jesus Christ. His desire is for others to experience the many blessings that come from knowing Christ. Kenneth plays the bass, lead, and rthym quitars.
