Rotary: Goodwill and Better Friendships

A presentation by Rotarian Kurt Rutz on March 13, 2024, engaged members in a discussion of “What is Lent? Its Meaning and Importance Explained”. 

Each week a member of the Rotary Club of Marlin produces a presentation or a guest speaker on a vital topic. This club connection gives members the chance to develop skills like public speaking, project management, and event planning. Acquaintances of interesting people from the community and around the world are made. Members tackle local and international issues that are important to individuals and fellow club members. Weekly programs “promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through [the] fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.”

Each week, Rotarians repeat The Four-Way Test: Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Like 1.4 million Rotarians worldwide, members of Rotary Club of Marlin replicate, “Service Above Self and One Profits Most Who Serves Best”.

   What is next? World Water Day 2024, celebrated annually on March 22.
