Margaret Perez Garza, 77, of Daingerfield, formerly of Westphalia and Lott, died Sunday, Oct. 9 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in Westphalia.
Mrs. Garza was born June 9, 1934 in rosebud. She moved to Daingerfield 35 years ago. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic church in Daingerfield and the Legion of Mary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank V. Garza, daughter, Delores Garza, and sons, Michael Garza and Atanacio "Andy" Garza.
She is survived by her children: Gloria Garza Garcia of Tucson, Ariz., Eva Garza Muniz of Daingerfield, Dianne Garza Gilmore of Daingerfield, and Enrico Jose Garza of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren: Christopher Michael Garza, Dusty Ray Garcia, Thomas Anthony Garcia and Ashley Marie Garza; six great grandchildren: Christopher Michael Garza, Jr., Destiny Alexis Garza, Alyssa Marie Tarin, Christian Ethan Garza, Alissa Renee Russell and Joseph Andrez Garza.; sisters and brothers: Robert Perez, Alice Bolden, Cynthia Anderson, Manuel Perez, Mary Sims and Frank Perez, Jr.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
