COY PORTER, SR.
SEPTEMBER 15, 1949 - JANUARY 3, 2026
Coy Porter, Sr., a lifelong resident of Marlin, Texas, entered eternal rest on January 3, 2026, at the age of 76.
Coy was born on September 15, 1949, in Marlin, Texas. He was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Marlin, Texas, Class of 1968, where he formed lasting friendships and developed a strong sense of pride in his community.
Coy honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, from which he later retired. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to public service through a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service, also retiring after years of faithful employment.
He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Linda Faye Williams Porter, with whom he shared a life grounded in love, dedication, and mutual respect. He was a devoted father to Deco Porter, Cerendy Denise Porter Sias, and Coy Dell Porter II
(Maisha). Coy took great pride in his family and was a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to one.
Coy was known for his warm smile, friendly spirit, and love of fellowship. An avid bowler, he found joy in both the sport and the friendships it fostered.
Coy Porter, Sr., will be fondly remembered for his service to his country, his dedication to his family, and the positive impact he made on those who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at New Faith Church, 4315 West Fuqua Street. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
