Cheryl Diane Afinowicz

We regretfully announce that Cheryl Diane Afinowicz of Marlin passed away on July 21, 2022.

Cheryl was born on Aug. 5, 1945, in Paris, Texas, and was a member of the Marlin High School Class of 1963. In 1967, she married Donald Afinowicz and went on to have one son, Jason. 

Throughout her career, she worked in various positions in her community including J.B. White and Evans Tire Service, where she enjoyed connecting with members of the Falls County community. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, and time spent with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Collins and will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Donald; son, Jason; his wife, Holly; grandchildren, Luke and Chloe; and countless cousins, friends, and the community she loved.

A small memorial service for family and close friends will be held at a later time. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Texas Parks and Wildlife or the Humane Society of Central Texas.
