DORIS GOEKE LUEDKE

APRIL 21, 1931 - NOVEMBER 19, 2025

Doris Goeke Luedke, of Marlin, Texas, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on November 19th, 2025, at the age of 94. A true Southern belle and a devoted Christian woman, she spent her life pouring love into everyone she met. She never knew a stranger, never let anyone go without, and never missed a chance to feed a crowd. If you ever left her home hungry, it was your own fault.

She was born on April 21st, 1931 in Blue Ridge, Texas and spent 18 dedicated years working for Atkins Agency, around 20 years working for Farm Bureau, and spent the early years of her career at the First National Bank where her hard work and joyful spirit touched countless lives. She and her husband Danny ran a pecan business for several years, a venture she cherished. She loved shelling pecans and visiting with their customers. Outside of work, she found joy in cooking, gardening, country music, church, fellowship, and most of all, her family. She married her first love, Bill Goeke, in 1950, and together they raised two children. Bill passed away in 2008, and in God’s perfect timing she later met Danny Luedke, whom she married and shared 16 wonderful years of companionship, laughter, and devotion.

Doris was the kindest woman—always smiling, always welcoming, and always putting others first. Her faith guided her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and steadfast love.

She is survived by her loving husband Danny; son, William “Bubba” Goeke, and wife Shirley; stepchildren, Larry Luedke and wife Beverly, John Luedke and wife Lori, Rhea Ann Spiegel and husband Jamie; grandchildren, Michelle Goeke LeNoir and husband Scott, Caleb Goeke, Chase Goeke, McKenzie Jackson, and Micah Goeke; several stepgrandchildren along with numerous great-grandchildren; and many other family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Mrs. Luedke was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Goeke; parents, Herman Hugo and Bertie Mae Brown Wornat; son, Michael; grandson Shawn; and siblings: Edna White, Mable Ludwig, Ruthie Coble, WA Wornat, Edward Wornat, and Roy Wornat.

Services will be held on November 25th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather afterward for fellowship and to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift we’ll carry forever.
