Mary Ozell Smith

Graveside services for Mary Ozell Smith of Kosse, TX, will be held, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at Hopewell Cemetery in Bremond. Viewing will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 11 to 6 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home Chapel. Mask and social distancing will be required.

Mary Ozell Smith was born to the parents of Willie and Madie Williams. She attended school in Kosse and Groesbeck. She attended Hopewell Baptist Church. She met and married Isaac Lewis and to this union one son was born, Isaac Lewis, Jr. They both preceded her in death as well as her parents, a grandson, sisters and brothers. She later moved to Denver, Colorado and met and married Newell Smith and they were blessed with a daughter, Shameka Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Newell Smith, a daughter, Shameka Smith-Fletcher (Phines), three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Betty Washington of Moreno Valley, CA; Emerald Williams and Joyce Williams of Dallas, TX; a brother, Billy Williams (Darlene) of Dallas, TX; three sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Williams, Brenda Williams and Newly Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friend.
