FALLS COUNTY FELONY DOCKET

On May 13, 2021, Judge Bryan F. Russ, Jr. convened court to hear felony matters presented by District Attorney Jody Gilliam.  The following felony cases were disposed of:  

 

1st Degree Felony (5 to 99 years or life, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Damont Latrell Wilson, 28, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of cocaine, with intent to deliver, over 4 grams but less than 200 grams. He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service, attend, and successfully complete a drug intervention program. Wilson was arrested on February 29, 2020, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office. 

James Holland Young, 31, from Waco, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine, with intent to deliver, over 4 grams but less than 200 grams. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, assessed a $1,000.00 fine. Young was arrested on October 2, 2020, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office. 

 

2nd Degree Felony (2 to 20 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Chris Lamont Hudlin, 47, from Waco, pled guilty to burglary of a habitation. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. Hudlin was arrested on April 4, 2019, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.  

 

3rd Degree Felony (2 to 10 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Barry Dawson, 40, from Marlin, pled guilty to assault on police officer. He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service. He was also ordered into felony substance abuse punishment program. Dawson was arrested on August 31, 2020, by Marlin Police Department.  

Barry Dawson, 40, from Marlin, pled guilty to assault on an emergency assistant person. He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service. He was also ordered into SAFFP. Dawson was arrested on August 31, 2020, by Marlin Police Department.  

 

State Jail Felony (6 to 24 months, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Chris Iloe Goodrum, who had been placed on probation for the offense of possession of methamphetamine, less than one gram, was revoked and sentenced to 17 months confinement in a State Jail Facility.

Ralph James Smith, Jr, 51, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, less than one gram. He was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service, and attend and successfully complete a drug intervention program. Smith was arrested on August 13, 2020, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.   

Joshua Michael Skrhak, 20, from Rockdale, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance cocaine, less than one gram. He was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,000.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service, and attend and successfully complete a drug intervention program. Skrhak was arrested on December 29, 2019, by Lott Police Department.
