It's Girl Scout Registration Time

Girl Scouts of Central Texas is recruiting in Falls County once again for Troop 21100. 

“The mission of Girl Scouting is to build girls of courage, confidence and character,” said Falls County Troup Leader Elaine Truett. “Girls who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success.”

These are taught through activities involving camping, community service, learning first aid, and earning badges by acquiring practical skills. Girl Scouts' achievements are recognized with various special awards, including the Girl Scout Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards.

Girl Scout membership is organized according to grade, with activities designed for each level. Students must be in Kindergarten through twelfth grade to join.

Registration for current and/or aspiring Girl Scouts will be Saturday, Sept. 26, at 186 County Road 173. The fun will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. There will be lots of crafts and excitement for all, as well as registration assistance for each girl. Girls must be in kindergarten to 12th grade to join. The cost is $35 for the year but financial aid will be available to all who wish to join. 

All attendees will be expected to adhere to COVID-19 policies, including but not limited to social distancing and wearing masks.
