Marlin’s Lions Club Members at Mid-Winter Conference
Lions Club members attended Lions Club District 2-X3 Midwinter Conference held January 16, 2021, at the Woodway Methodist Church in Waco, hosted by the Waco Women’s Lions Club. Shown are Sheila Lawson (President), Letitia Estep (Public Relations Chair), Anthony Roppolo (One-Year Director), Pattie Kalmbach (Club Secretary), JoeAnn Kalmbach, Charlotte Langston (Vice President) and Douglas Langston (Diabetes Project Co-Leader).
These Lions represented Marlin’s Lions Club, a club far from tranquil. It is active in this community and partners with civic organizations, businesses, faith organizations, medical professionals and centers, and individuals to provide donations and Lion volunteer power to paint Marlin curbs, food drive distributions, and fundraisers. Lions lend hundreds of volunteer hours and monies supporting the Texas Lions Camp, Pediatric Cancer, Diabetes, Vision Screening, and Hunger projects. The annual fundraiser, The Lions Car and Motorcycle Show, is coming in June.
Individuals interested in making a difference in our community, please send a message via https://www.facebook.com/Marlin-Lions-Club-495117950887416/ about visiting a Marlin Lions Club meeting. Marlin’s Lions Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at the Chicken Place. The meetings begin at 12:00 noon. Masks are required and social distancing is followed.
Come, join in! Behind the masks, they are ROARIN’ in service to this community.
