New Podcast is live. “With the Bark Off: Conversations from the LBJ Presidential Library.”

The LBJ Library doors are closed, but our mission continues.

(Austin, TX) – When President Lyndon Baines Johnson dedicated his presidential library in 1971, he declared, "It's all here, the story of our time—with the bark off."

Since then, in keeping with his vision, the LBJ Presidential Library has been a forum for the biggest names and best minds of our day to address the issues of our time. With the doors of the LBJ Library temporarily shut, we are continuing to provide compelling and relevant content. In that spirit, we’ve launched a podcast called, "With the Bark Off: Conversations from the LBJ Presidential Library."

This podcast brings those conversations straight to you, featuring new interviews as well as recent "best of" live programming from the LBJ Library. Insightful, revealing conversations—"with the bark off." Produced by the LBJ Foundation, the podcast is hosted by Mark K. Updegrove, its president and CEO. Updegrove is an author, presidential historian for ABC News, and the former director of the LBJ Presidential Library.

Our initial podcast episodes feature new conversations with Lawrence Wright, David Oshinsky, Jean Becker and George P. Bush as well as “best of” programs with Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Ken Burns.

Looking ahead, our upcoming guests include Dan Rather and Dr. Peniel E. Joseph, who will be speaking about his new book, The Sword and the Shield: The Revolutionary Lives of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.

Episodes will be added weekly. Subscribe to “With the Bark Off” for free in your preferred podcast app.
