Rain deteriorates road work

Several months ago, the City of Marlin and Falls County entered into an inter-local agreement that would fix the section of Ward Street that goes beyond the old V.A Hospital towards such roads as Palm, Bluebonnet, Royal, etc.

Based on the agreement, county workers would basically tear up the road using their own equipment, allowing the city workers to go behind so that they may flatten and smooth it out with their equipment.

Soon after the agreement was finalized, workers began working on the project.

However, residents leaving on or around Ward Street were most likely expecting something similar to what was done in front of the V.A Hospital several years ago, they instead were basically left with a gravel road.
