Remembering the fallen

A parade went through downtown Marlin on Sunday afternoon, welcoming the Remembering the Fallen exhibit that will be on display this week in Marlin City Park. It is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Friday, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The photographic memorial honors our country’s military fallen from The War on Terror (Sept. 11, 2001 to present). Its legacy will be that these men and women will be remembered and their names will be spoken, while helping to lessen the grief of their families. Admission to the exhibit is free to the public, but donations are accepted and encouraged. Pictured is the Falls County Sheriff’s department, who joined various community first responders in accompanying the exhibit through town.
