Remembering Our Fallen - Never Forgotten

Remembering Our Fallen is a photographic war memorial that honors our country’s military Fallen from The War on Terror (Sept. 11, 2001 to present).

Unlike brick and mortar memorials, Remembering Our Fallen is designed to travel and includes both military and personal photos. Its legacy will be that these men and women will be remembered and their names will be spoken, while helping to lessen the grief of their families.

The traveling memorial, organized by Patriotic productions, will be making only one stop in Texas, right here in Falls County.

“A Gold Star family's greatest fear is that their Fallen will be forgotten,” reads their website.

The memorial will be at Marlin City Park, located at 325 Willis Street, from Oct. 26 to Nov. 2.

It will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission to the event is free to the public, but donations are accepted and encouraged.

There will be a parade of Falls County First Responders on Oct. 25 to welcome the memorial.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott and other state officials are expected to make an appearance while the installation is set. Presenting sponsors are the City of Marlin, KWTX News 10, Kyle Kacal, Brian Birdwell, and the Falls County Youth Fair Association.
