Von O'Rama Car Show next weekend!

(Riesel, Texas) - The Riesel Lions Club will be hosting their annual Von O’rama Car Show on July 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s show will be held to help fund the medical bills of Van Otto, a local world renowned airbrush artist. He is currently battling late stage metastatic cancer. According to the club, if you have been to a local car show you have undoubtedly seen his work and can instantly recognize it.

Anyone with his work on their vehicle is encouraged to attend to show their support, but the show is open to all cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles. There will be not only a raffle, but a live auction as well. Donated items currently include Cameron Park Zoo memberships, varying restaurant gift cards, photography sessions with local photographers, and much more. 

The event will take place on the Riesel ISD grounds, located at 600 E Frederick St, Reisel. Registration is $30 and includes a t-shirt. Trophies will be given to the top 10 cars, as well as awards given out for specialty categories, such as “best interior” or “best engine.” If you have any questions or would like to donate auction items please give Daniel a call or text at (254) 498-2020.
