Commissioners approve Interlocal Agreements
Falls County Commissioners Court met Monday, June 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. The commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pet. 1), F. A. Green (Pet 2), Jason Willberg (Pet. 3), and Nita Wuebker (Pet. 4). ADA Steve Sharp was present.
Executive Session pursuant to section 551.074 of the government code, the Commissioners Court held an Executive Session to discuss personnel matters: Regarding Texas Association of Counties Health and Employee Benefits Pool, County Wellness Program, and County Human Resources Management. (TAC HEBP) After transitioning to open session, Commissioner Green moved to accept the TAC HEBP Plan Year 2026 Renewal. Seconded by Commissioner Wuebker, the motion carried.
In other matters, future employee luncheon workshops with the Texas Association of Counties were discussed including the budget. Commissioner Green moved to approve the $1000 budget to include venue, food and other related expenses. Commissioner Willberg seconded and the motion carried. Concerning the Interlocal Agreements with the City of Golinda, Commissioner Wuebker moved to accept the agreement, seconded by Commissioner Willberg, the motion carried. The project will allow for better drainage to prevent flooding of Buckner Road. An additional Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Golinda to construct street improvements benefitting the Walter Road area was approved.
Commissioner Albright moved to pay the $1200 invoice concerning indigent cremation. Commissioners also approved the bonding of county officials to include Terri Irvin, Asst. County Auditor, Annie Teakell, Deputy District Clerk, Sharon Scott, Deputy County Clerk, Cederia Taylor, Sheriff’s Office, Shurita Dorsey, Deputy County Clerk and William Johnson, Sheriff’s Office. On another note, Jeff Jackson, Road & Bridge Administrator, reported a safety meeting will be scheduled soon and bridge work is progressing. Commissioner Albright moved to approve the payments of bills and amendment amounts, seconded by Commissioner Green, the motion carried. Commissioner Wuebker moved to approve the June 9, 2025 minutes, seconded by Commissioner Willberg, the motion carried. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:01 a.m. The next Commissioners’ Court meeting will be on July 14 at 9 a.m.
