Country Music Jamboree for Marlin Seniors a Success

The Marlin Senior Civic Center hosted a Country Music Jamboree for everyone aged 65 years and older on Saturday, Jan. 17. A group of friends performed old country music songs for more than 20 seniors who attended.

Food and refreshments were available for purchase. The event was hosted by the Marlin Senior Civic Center Committee, and members worked hard to make sure the event was cheerful and will continue to draw seniors for future events. The Senior Civic Center Committee members are David Michalewicz, Delores Michalewicz, Frances Braswell, and Committee Director, Imogene Drews. All donations of cash, food and drinks are welcome at any time to help make current and future senior events a success. Everyone aged 65 and older may attend with no membership fees. The Senior Civic Event Center hosts events often. On Mondays and Thursdays, they play dominos and chicken foot from 9 a.m. until noon, and on Wednesdays, they host bingo from 9 a.m. to noon. The Marlin Senior Civic Center is located at 104 Hays St. Marlin, Texas. You can reach them by calling 254-883-5900.
