Marlin Celebrates Easter with Egg Hunts!
With heavy rain and stormy weather disrupting original event plans on Saturday, April 4, Marlin Walmart and the Masonic Lodge #78 instead hosted egg hunts on Sunday at 1 p.m.
C7 Food Truck Park waited out the rain on Saturday, pushing their event start time to 5 p.m. and welcoming several children and families for the Easter egg hunt, with Mister Taco food truck on site selling dinner plates. On Sunday afternoon, about two dozen children participated in the egg hunt at Walmart, in a grassy area to the left of the Auto Center, joined by the Easter Bunny.
More than 50 children showed up to Apple Sport Park, where Masonic Lodge #78 had placed 5,000 filled eggs. Children were divided into two age groups for the hunt, with kids aged 2-6 searching one area, and kids aged 7-12 gathering eggs from another portion of the park.
