On Nov. 13, a Falls County Sheriff Deputy conducted a traffic top in the City of Rosebud for a vehicle displaying expired registration. During the course of the stop, the deputy observed indicators of criminal activity and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle.
A Regular Meeting of the Marlin City Council was held November 12, 2025, at 6 pm, Mayor Susan Byrd presiding. Council members present were Terence McDavid, William Roe, Jo Mark Taylor, and Morris Watson, Jr. Council member Cecil Sparks arrived at 6:48 pm.
C7 Food Truck Park in Marlin is now open after hosting their Grand Opening Fall Festival event on Saturday, Nov. 15. Located at 520 N. Hwy 6 with cozy lighting, shaded picnic areas, and space for the kids to play and run around, C7 has the potential to become a popular local hangout, if food trucks come with consistency.
About 30 veterans and community members attended the Veterans Day Celebration at Falls County Courthouse on November 11, 2025, sponsored by the Historical Commission and American Legion Post 31. The brisk, windy weather prompted organizers to move the event inside, where County Judge Jay Elliot, American Legion Post 31 Commander Fred Ormsby, Falls County Historical Commission Chairman Trudie Asbury and Vice Chair Elizabeth Nelson each shared stories, prayers and poems to honor and recognize the military service of all veterans, with special thanks to the local veterans.
