Computer Classes continue at the Marlin Library on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. June 28, July 12, July 19.

 

Story Time

Children’s Story Time returns to the Marlin Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

 

Blood Drive

The Westphalia Knights of Columbus Council #13902 is sponsoring a Baylor Scott & White blood drive on Sunday, July 11, at the Westphalia Parish Hall from 8am to 11:30 a.m. The council is providing a pancake breakfast starting at 9 a.m. to anyone who signs up to give blood, as well as all parishioners of the Church of the Visitation.

A photo ID is required to donate. Masks are required to be worn during the appointment. To schedule your appointment go to BSWBLOOD.COM and find the July 11 blood drive. Appointments are highly encouraged; walk-ins will be accepted as space allows. 

 

Golden Celebration

A Golden 50th Celebration Banquet will be held honor of Pastor Lonnie D. Garrett on Saturday, July 10, at 4 p.m. held at Marlin Men Civic Center, 1104 Bus Hwy 6, Marlin. Ticket donation $50/person (seating limited) semi formal. Town Hall Meeting

A Town Hall Meeting to get citizen’s input on roads will be held on July 11 at 6 p.m. To remain in compliance with state and federal laws regarding open meetings they will not be discussing or taking action on city business.  This meeting will only be to obtain citizen input. All precinct council members are invited so citizen’s can meet their council person. It will be at the Marlin Men’s Civic Building. 

 

Local Youth Program

Gospel Lighthouse Church invites all youths within the community to Foundation Youth, an hour and a half long time of games, food, fun, and fellowship. It takes place each Sunday evening from 5-6:30 p.m. at 1009 Live Oak in Marlin.

 

Veterans Assistance

Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach. After School Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $25 per child. Indoor Vendor’s Market

The Marlin Indoor Vendors Market takes place weekly at 215 Live Oak Street, Marlin from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is also seeking vendors. The building is climate controlled. Lions Club meeting

Lions Club of Marlin will meet every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 12 p.m. at the Chicken Place.
