FALLS COUNTY FREE TRASH DAY
The Falls County Free Trash Day will be held Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to noon (or until dumpsters are full) at two locations: Falls County Jail Site (2847 Hwy. 6, Marlin) and the Waste Collection Station (330 S. Hwy. 77, Lott). Open to Falls County residents only. Tires (you unload), batteries, appliances and brush (under 3” diameter) accepted. No chemicals, hazardous waste, roofing materials, tractor tires, tires with rims or commercial company tires.
ROCKDALE ALCOA RETIREES MEETING The next meeting of the Rockdale ALCOA Retirees Meeting will be held Thursday, June 12 at the Thorndale Veteran’s Memorial Hall (formerly the VFW Hall). 22ND ANNUAL LIONS CLUB CAR & MOTORCYCLE SHOW

2025 TEXAS ARCHEOLOGICAL FIELD SCHOOL Registration is now open for the Texas Archeological Society’s 2025 Field School, taking place June 14–21 in Milam and Robertson counties.
Participants will work alongside professional archeologists to identify and record Native American and colonial-era sites. Activities include excavation, lab analysis, surveys, and evening programs.
Youth ages 7–14 can join a special group to learn hands-on archeology skills. Scholarships are available. Register online at www.txarch.org/fieldschool.

The City of Golinda is excited as the Meals on Wheels Waco will service its area. MARLIN SENIOR CENTER
Marlin Senior Center hosts dominoes from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday and Thursday; Bingo from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The Jamboree is held every third Saturday from 6-9 p.m. There is no admission fee. The building is also available for rent. The fee is $200 a day and a $100 deposit.

The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $20 per child.
