FALLS COUNTY FREE TRASH DAY 

Falls County Free Trash Day will be on Saturday, April 23, from 8 a.m. to noon (or until dumpsters are full.) Two Locations: Falls County Jail Site, 2847 Hwy. 6, Marlin; Waste Collection Station, 330 S. Hwy. 77, Lott. Batteries, Appliances & Brush (no larger than 3” in diameter) Will Be Accepted. No Tires - No Chemicals - No Hazardous Waste - No Roofing Materials.

 

Kids Trail Ride Olympics

Bea-Real 4.0 Kare Athletic and Academic Outreach Program in partnership with MISD Family and Community Engagement presents the first annual Central TX Kids Trail Ride Olympics on Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Grades K-12. Food Bank Distribution

Central Texas Food Bank will distribute food in Falls County on the following days: Friday, April 15, from 10-11 a.m. at 105 E. Gassaway Ave. in Lott, and Friday, April 22, from 10-11 a.m. at Marlin High School, 1400 Capps St. in Marlin.

 

150th Church 

Anniversary

Perry United Methodist Church will celebrate their 150th Anniversary on June 12. It will begin with a 10:30 a.m. service under the direction of Rev. Lynn Starnes. Directly following the service a meal will follow. Cost of plate lunch will be $15 and will be paid at the time of receiving your plate. Local Youth Program

Gospel Lighthouse Church invites all youths within the community to Foundation Youth, an hour and a half long time of games, food, fun, and fellowship. It takes place each Sunday evening from 5-6:30 p.m. at 1009 Live Oak in Marlin.

 

Computer classes

Computer Classes continue at the Marlin Library on Mondays at 10:30 a.m.

 

Story Time

Children’s Story Time returns to the Marlin Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

 

American Legion

Veterans Assistance

Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach. After School Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $20 per child. The program takes place at Marlin Elementary School. NAACP will meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Falconer Stamp Center on Durr Street.
