Stress busting

The Heart of Texas Area Agency on Aging will be sponsoring a Stress Busting Class for Family Caregivers beginning on Tuesday, July 18, and it will run for nine weeks every Tuesday at the Marlin Public Library from 2-3 p.m. No charge to attend. Annual Meeting

Families of Hillcrest Cemetery will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m. at Marlin Senior Civic Center.

Region XI Head Start/Early Head Start announces the sponsorship of the Child Care Food Program. American Legion

Marlin senior 

center

Marlin Senior Center hosts dominoes from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday and Thursday; Bingo from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The Jamboree is held every third Saturday from 6-9 p.m. There is no admission fee. The building is also available for rent. The fee is $200 a day and a $100 deposit.

 

Story Time

Children’s Story Time returns to the Marlin Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

 

NAACP

NAACP will meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Hitching Post on 5029 State Hwy 7.

 

After School 

Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $20 per child. The program takes place at Marlin Elementary School. Veterans 

Assistance

Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach.
