Marlin Country Club presents the Sundown Showdown, a four person team scramble at $100 per person with $15 per person cart rental fee. THere is limited cart availability. REgistration begins at 3:30 p.m., with the daylight front nine tee off beginning at 4:30 p.m. The front nine will be followed by a dinner and then the back nine glowlight tee off will begin at 8 p.m. One glow ball is included per player with additional glow balls available for $5 each. The first annual drivethrough Wurst Fest will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (or until sold out) at the St. Paul Community Church parsonage. Plates will be $15 (bratwurst on a bun, potato salad, coleslaw, and cookies) and proceeds will support the restoration of historic St. Paul church at 212 FM 2307, 5 miles north of Marlin off Hwy. 6.

Kosse 45th annual bazaar of the Kosse Methodist Church. Everyone is invited to bring their family and friends and come early to browse through the white elephant sale, do some early Christmas shopping at the craft store and silent auction and find something wonderful at the country store and bake sale. Don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets for the great many items on the raffle this year. Raffle tickets are available from any church member or on the day of the bazaar and you don’t have to be present to win. Stay for a delicious lunch of BBQ ribs and sausage with all the trimmings or maybe you would prefer a sandwich. No matter what you choose, it will all be fantastic. The live auction starts at 1 PM with many unusual and beautiful items up for auction, including a black angus heifer. It will be a great day so hope to see you there for a day of fun, food and most importantly fellowship.
