Chase Your Shadow 5K

Mooreville Chase Your Shadow 5K Fun Run will be held on Feb. 5. 9 a.m. kickoff fun run/walk with bake sale. Divisions by age and gender. Register at RunSignUp.com - search for Mooreville Fun Run. Register by Jan. 14 to ensure t-shirt. The church is located at 206 FM 2643 in Chilton.

 

Meet the Candidates

The Falls County Republican Party invites you to be part of the 2022 election year with “Meet the Candidates” who will be on the Republican ballot on March 1 on Feb. 3, at Lott Elementary School.  Doors open at 5 p.m.  County, District and State candidates.  Forum is free and Chili with trimmings is available for sale.

Local Youth Program

Gospel Lighthouse Church invites all youths within the community to Foundation Youth, an hour and a half long time of games, food, fun, and fellowship. It takes place each Sunday evening from 5-6:30 p.m. at 1009 Live Oak in Marlin.

 

American Legion

Falls County American Legion Post 31 meets the second Monday of the month. This month is Feb. 14 at 1 Mesquite Tree Lane at 6 p.m. Their phone number is (254) 883-5056.

 

Veterans Assistance

Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach. After School Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $25 per child. NAACP will meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Falconer Stamp Center on Durr Street.
