WESTPHALIA KC ANNUAL COMMUNITY-WIDE GARAGE SALE

The Westphalia Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a Community-Wide Garage Sale at the Westphalia Parish Hall Pavilion, State Highway 320, Westphalia on Saturday, June 5,  from 7 a.m. to noon. Booth space is free. To obtain a booth space or be placed on a map, contact Ken or Teresa Jezisek at  (512) 927-6581.  Sausage wraps and drinks will be available for purchase from the Knights of Columbus.  Donation of items for the KC booth will also be accepted.

 

FIRST MONDAY SENIOR LUNCHEONS RESUME

First Monday Luncheon will resume on Monday, June 7, for Seniors at The Chicken Place from 12-2 p.m. For information call Danny Luedke at (254) 883-5536.

 

Kosse Street Dance

Kosse Homecoming Street dance will be on June 12. More info at www.kossetexas.com 

 

Fish Fry

A drive-through Fish Fry will be held on Saturday, June 12, from 5-7 p.m. at the St. Paul UCC parsonage. Plates will be $12 and proceeds will support the restoration of historic St. Paul church. 212 FM 2307 (5 miles north of Marlin off Hwy. 6)

 

Sacred Heart Picnic

Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lott will host its Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 27, at the parish hall. Barbecue plates will be served beginning at 11 a.m. for $10 each. Activities include a live auction, games and general store. There will also be a barbecue cook-off Saturday, June 26, with judging on Sunday.

 

Local Youth Program

Gospel Lighthouse Church invites all youths within the community to Foundation Youth, an hour and a half long time of games, food, fun, and fellowship. It takes place each Sunday evening from 5-6:30 p.m. at 1009 Live Oak in Marlin.

 

Veterans Assistance

Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach. After School Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $25 per child. Indoor Vendor’s Market

The Marlin Indoor Vendors Market takes place weekly at 215 Live Oak Street, Marlin from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is also seeking vendors. The building is climate controlled. Lions Club meeting

Lions Club of Marlin will meet every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 12 p.m. at the Chicken Place.
