Lions Car Show
The 20th Annual Marlin Lions Club’s Car & Motorcycle Show will be held on Saturday, June 10, at the Courthouse Square in Marlin. Cost is $20 pre-registration ($25 day of) and online registration at jay.t.elliott@gmail.com. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Spectators are welcome at no charge to view the Cars & Motorcycles on the Square on June 10 with proceeds helping the Marlin Lions serve the local community.

Criswell Homecoming
The 72nd Annual Criswell Cemetery Homecoming will be Sunday, June 11, at 11 a.m. General Business Meeting Followed by Singing and Communion. Noon Lunch.
Free community meal
FBC Marlin and Southern Belles Beauty Salon present a free community haircut and meal. Everyone is welcome. Saturday, June 17 from 8 a.m. to noon at 309 Coleman Street in Marlin.
Juneteenth Day Gospel explosion
Juneteenth Day Gospel Explosion and Parade will be held on June 18 from 4-7 p.m. at BTW Alumni Building, 216 Falls Street.
Juneteenth Parade and Events
The Juneteenth Parade will be on June 19 at 11 a.m. There is a $5 pre-registration or day parade. Line up at 10 a.m. at 322 Durr Street in marlin. For additional information, contact Hermetta Paul at (254) 477-5678. Program at 12:30 p.m. at BTW Building. Free food and games for everyone. Activities, fun, game truck and bounce house. T-shirts available for $20.
Hamburger Supper
The Perry Ladies Society will host its 5th Annual Drive Thru Hamburger Supper on June 24 from 5-7:30 p.m. or until sold out at 193 CR 127 in Riesel (Perry Methodist Fellowship Hall). Hamburger, chips, drink and homemade dessert for $10.
Marlin Chamber Banquet
The Marlin Chamber of Commerce 112th Annual Awards Banquet will be on June 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Marlin’s Men’s Civic Association Building, Business Hwy 6 in Marlin. Tickets are $20 individual and $30 for a couple.
Food Giveaway
Every second Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church parking lot in Marlin.
American Legion
Falls County American Legion Post 31 meets the second Monday of the month at 1 Mesquite Tree Lane at 6 p.m. Their phone number is (254) 883-5056.
Marlin Senior Center
Marlin Senior Center hosts dominoes from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday and Thursday; Bingo from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The Jamboree is held every third Saturday from 6-9 p.m. There is no admission fee. The building is also available for rent. The fee is $200 a day and a $100 deposit.
Story Time
Children’s Story Time returns to the Marlin Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
NAACP
NAACP will meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Falconer Stamp Center on Durr Street.
After School Program
The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $20 per child. Lions Club of Marlin will meet every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 12 p.m. at the Chicken Place.
Veterans Assistance
Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach.
