St. Paul Church
On May 21, St. Paul Community Church will welcome former church member Glenn Dresner of Rosenberg, who will deliver a special message on the Holy Spirit. Glenn is the son of August and Martha Kroll Dresner, and the grandson of some of the founding members of St. Paul. vet clinic
The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a vet clinic at the Westphalia Hall Pavilion, State Highway 320, Westphalia on Saturday, May 20. The clinic will be from 7-11 a.m. Dogs, cats and other small animals can be vaccinated for rabies, parvovirus and any other ailment they may have at a nominal cost. KC Garage sale
The Westphalia Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a community-wide garage sale at the Westphalia Parish Hall Pavilion, State Highway 320, on Saturday, June 3, from 7 a.m. to noon. Booth space is free. To obtain a booth or be placed on the map, contact Brian Wilde at (254) 718-6764. Sausage wraps and drinks will be available for purchase from the Knights of Columbus.
Lions Car Show
The 20th Annual Marlin Lions Club’s Car & Motorcycle Show will be held on Saturday, June 10, at the Courthouse Square in Marlin. Cost is $20 pre-registration ($25 day of) and online registration at jay.t.elliott@gmail.com. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Spectators are welcome at no charge to view the Cars & Motorcycles on the Square on June 10 with proceeds helping the Marlin Lions serve the local community.

The Marlin Chamber of Commerce 112th Annual Awards Banquet will be on June 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Marlin’s Men’s Civic Association Building, Business Hwy 6 in Marlin. Tickets are $20 individual and $30 for a couple.

Marlin senior
center
Marlin Senior Center hosts dominoes from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday and Thursday; Bingo from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The Jamboree is held every third Saturday from 6-9 p.m. There is no admission fee. The building is also available for rent. The fee is $200 a day and a $100 deposit.

Children’s Story Time returns to the Marlin Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

NAACP will meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Falconer Stamp Center on Durr Street.

Program
The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $20 per child. Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach.
