Arrest made in June shooting incident

The U.S Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department and the Marlin Police Department apprehended Willie “hotshot” Solomon on Wednesday, June 24, in the 1800 block of Lake Shore Dr. in Waco. 

Solomon was involved in an incident that occurred on June 18, 2021, where a Marlin resident was shot inside his residence located in the 1400 block of McClanahan Road in Marlin, during a home invasion. During the investigation a second suspect was identified as Isaiah “black” Smith and was arrested by the Marlin Police Department and charged accordingly.

The Marlin PD would like to thank the Waco Police Department for their assistance and allowing us to use their K-9 to be able to locate some of the stolen property from this case.

This case will be presented to the Falls County District Attorney’s Office.
