Black History Month Program by Marlin ISD’s Littlest Learners

Students of Marlin ISD’s EOAC Head Start & Early Head Start program, directed by Claudette Mueller, put on an adorable program to honor Black History Month on Monday, Feb. 23.

The children started the pro- gram by singing “This Little Light of Mine,” then went on to showcase pictures of famous Black Americans and share a little about their achievements. Many of the students also dressed as the person they were honoring to add an extra layer of representation.

Pastor Mangel Womack of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Marlin spoke to the kids about how each person followed their dream to achieve their goals, and encouraged adults to nurture those dreams and encourage the children at this young age.
