Caregiver classes set at Marlin library
Are you a caregiver for someone with a chronic disease? You can be full-time, part-time, relative or a friend. You are not alone!
It can be a challenging task at whatever level you are involved. It can turn your life upside down, it can change your life whether your caregiving is full-time, part-time. Interested family member or friend? It will change your life.
The Area Agency on Aging is offering a free class for caregivers. Stress Busting for Family Caregivers will be offered starting July 18 and running through Sept. 19. The class if from 2-3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Marlin Public Library at 400 Oaks Street.
The focus is on you as the caregiver with stress management techniques, a new one every week, coping strategies and relaxation techniques. If this sounds like you this is a class you can’t miss.
You must preregister by calling the AAA at 211 or Jan Smith, LMSW at (254) 495-0858 and leave a message with your phone number. The AAA may be able to provide care if your family needs it while attending the class and be sure to ask when preregistering.
