City of Marlin to open warming center

The City of Marlin will be operating a warming center, at City Hall, beginning at 8:00 PM tonight. Bottled water, cots and heater meals (MREs) will be available. Blankets are available, but supplies are limited. Individuals must bring their own clothing, hygiene items, extra bedding, medication and any/all other needed items. Service animals are permitted, but pets are not due to liability reasons. Social distancing and facial coverings (masks) are recommended, but not required. Masks will be made available upon request. The City of Marlin will be unable to provide transportation to or from the warming center.

The warming center will be located in the City Council Chambers of Marlin City Hall (101 Fortune Street). To access the warming center, you'll need to enter through the Marlin Police Station.
