The Color Purple

To engage students in cross-curricular enrichment, Marlin High School interested and eligible young female scholars, grades 9-12, were recipients of a private screening of “The Color Purple” in Waco on Jan. 12. The blend of both a movie and musical, “The Color Purple” showed triumphs over struggles, resilience, and perseverance. Administration and faculty chaperones were Niki Edwards, Etoshia Butler, Cherelle Judie, Tamika Washington, Lindy Mitchell, William Ealy, Tonya Garcia-Arnold and District supporters Debra Levels McDavid and Elizabeth Richardson.
