Commissioners Discuss Tax Abatement Agreement with Solar LLC

Falls County Commissioners Court met at the County Courthouse, Marlin, TX, December 8, 2025, County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. Commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pct. 1), F. A. Green (Pct. 2), Jason Willberg (Pct. 3) and Nita Wuebker (Pct. 4). ADA Steve Sharp was in attendance.

Commissioners immediately went into closed session re: Section 551.071 of the Government Code, consultation with attorney re: City Tele-Coin Company’s agreements for Commissary Service Agreement and Correctional Communications Services Agreement. Convening back in open session, it was announced no action was taken.

Commissioners approved the $3,260 quote to purchase improved Wi-Fi for the Sheriff’s Office. Sheryl Pringle, County Treasurer, presented plans for investing in a new pilot program payment from the Otto True North Solar, LLC calculation and payment. Commissioners approved the recommendations of CDs.

In other matters, the Commissioners approved 2026 meeting days to continue as the second and the fourth Mondays. Holidays occurring on those days will follow on Tuesdays. Jeff Jackson, Road & Bridge Administrator, noted the most recent Trash Day was a success and work is continuing on various bridges, including those located in the City Park.

Commissioner Albright moved to approve the payment of all bills, budget amendments, and payroll. Seconded by Commissioner Green, the motion carried. Commissioner Wuebker moved to approve the minutes from the Nov. 24, 2025 meeting. Second by Commissioner Albright, the motion carried. The next Commissioners meeting is Monday, December 22, 2025 at 9 am. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
