County Annex renovation to start in June

Falls County commissioners during their Monday, March 25, regular meeting gave Judge Jay Elliott the authority to negotiate on behalf of the commissioners about the renovation of the Annex Building located in the industrial park.

The building was purchased so the courthouse staff will have a place to work while the $6 million-plus courthouse renovation project takes place.

The project will ultimately bring the courthouse to the same condition as it was in 1939, when it was originally built. Construction will be able to begin in June now that commissioners gave Elliott the authority to negotiate on the county’s behalf. The vote to do so was unanimous.
