COVID-19 Survivor reunited with family

More than a year after lockdown, some Texas’ nursing home residents continue to be deprived of the touch and close affection from their family, but for Marlin’s Golden Years Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, that is no longer the case.

After visits worth of glass between them, one family was allowed to take the huge step of meeting face to face now that vaccinated residents have the privilege.

Alisa Jones travelled to Marlin as she had done many times before, but this time with the intent of having her mother in her arms.

She said there’s nothing like the kind of hug a mother can give, and that nothing would ever replace face-to-face interactions.

Caught on camera, her mother Charlotte Leggette burst out, ““I’m so glad to see y’all!” as she rounded the corner.

The COVID-19 survivor broke in cheers as she saw her daughter and family members there with her,
