Falls County BTW & Ex-Students to offer scholarship for Marlin seniors

The Falls County Booker T. Washington & Ex-Students Educational Association (BTWAEEA) National Chapter will be awarding scholarships to five graduating seniors from Marlin High School in 2023.

A member of the BTWAEEA National Scholarship Committee attended a meeting in October that was held at MHS.

The meeting was attended by students from the senior class, their parents, counselors, and other members of the school staff.

The Scholarship application form and the requirements that are necessary for the students to be considered for the scholarships were discussed. Time was allowed for questions and answers.

The members of the Association are looking forward to working with the students who are interested in preparing for the next phase of their lives. We will be offering the scholarships to students who have been accepted into a four-year university, two-year junior college, a trade school, or any branch of the military.

The application must be submitted to the BTWAEEA committee no later than March 24, 2023. We are asking members of the community to encourage Seniors to start thinking about the next phase of their lives that will began when they step across the stage with their diploma in hand and enter “adulthood”.

The members of the BTWAEEA would appreciate any financial support from the community to assist in the Scholarship Fund for our Senior class graduates. Any donations that are marked for scholarships will be used for that purpose only.

You may mail your donations to: BTW Alumni & Ex-student Association, ATTN: C/O Linda Canady, 24810 Ripple Way, Garden Ridge, TX 78266.

Donations may also be deposited via check/cash in any PNC Bank.
