Falls County Commissioner working hard to find funds for environmental cleanup

Illegal dumping is a problem in all counties across Texas. Sometimes it happens on city or county property; more often it takes place on private property. The cost to have it removed can be a huge burden for the property owner, but keeping the community clean and attractive is crucial to attracting growth opportunities.

The Central Texas Resource, Conservation and Development Group wants to help communities take care of these types of challenges. The group is one of many chapters across the state, organized through the Texas Association of Resource, Conservation and Development Areas. The Central Texas group covers a 10-county section of the state, including Bastrop, Bell, Caldwell, Coryell, Falls, Limestone, McLennan, Milam, Travis, and Williamson.
