FALLS COUNTY FELONY DOCKET
On March 25, 2021, Judge Bryan F. Russ, Jr. convened court to hear felony matters presented by District Attorney Jody Gilliam. The following Felony cases were disposed of:
1st Degree Felony (5 to 99 years or life, up to $10,000 fine.)
Shatavia Shardae Hopkins, 26, from Dallas, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with intent to deliver, over 4 grams but less than 200 grams. She was placed on 10 years probation, assessed a $2,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 320 hours of community service, and complete a drug intervention class. Hopkins was arrested on October 2, 2020, by Lott Police Department.
Cornelius Ranshard Armstead, 37, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with intent to deliver, over 4 grams but less than 200 grams. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, assessed a $1,000.00 fine. Armstead was arrested on March 07, 2020, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
2nd Degree Felony (2 to 20 years, up to $10,000 fine.)
Dawniel Charneen McKnight, 29, from Marlin, pled guilty to indecency with a child under the age of 17. She was sentenced to 20 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, assessed a $5,000.00 fine. McKnight was arrested on September 1, 2020, by Marlin Police Department.
Whitney Ashton Skipper, 35, from Moody, who had been placed on probation for the offense of abandon/endanger child imminent danger bodily injury, was revoked and sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System.
Brayshon Cummings, 31, from Waco, pled guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department on Criminal Justice System, assessed a $1,000.00 fine. Cummings was arrested on May 4, 2020, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
3rd Degree Felony (2 to 10 years, up to $10,000 fine.)
Steve Martinez Robles, 46, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine less than one gram. He was placed on 5 years probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 180 hours of community service, and complete a drug intervention class. Robles was arrested on July 18, 2019, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
Cornelius Ranshard Armstead, 37, from Marlin, pled guilty felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. Armstead was arrested on November 24, 2020, by Falls County Constable.

Kimberly Renee Spillers, 32, from Marlin, pled guilty to bail jumping. She was placed on 5 years probation. Spillers was arrested on February 03, 2021, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
Christine Elizabeth Hunt, 29, from Plano, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, gamma hydroxybutyric acid over one gram but less than four grams. She was placed on 5 years probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service, and complete a drug intervention class. Hunt was arrested on May 11, 2020, by Lott Police Department.
Lauren Nicole Brooks, 22, from Marlin, who had been placed on probation for the offense of credit card or debit card abuse, had her probation modified and was ordered into a substance abuse felony punishment facility.
Allen Thomas Athey, 41, from Waco, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine over one gram but less than four grams. He was sentenced to 5 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. His sentence was suspended, and he was placed on 5 years probation, $2,000.00 fine, ordered to complete 180 hours of community service and he was also ordered to into the substance abuse punishment facility. Athey was arrested on April 18, 2020, by Lott Police Department.
Allen Thomas Athey, 41, Waco, pled guilty to bail jumping. He was sentenced to 5 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. His sentence was suspended, and he was placed on 5 years probation and ordered into the substance abuse punishment facility. Athey was arrested on February 7, 2021, by Lott Police Department.
Danny Ray Walker, 45, from Marlin, pled guilty to assault family violence. He was placed on 7 years probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 280 hours of community service, and ordered into a substance abuse punishment facility. Walker was arrested on July 20, 2020, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
State Jail Felony (6 to 24 months, up to $10,000 fine.)
Steve Martinez Robles, 46, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than one gram. He was placed on 5 years probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine. Robles was arrested on March 14, 2020, by Game Warden.
Levi Dakota Baay, 20, from Bremond, pled guilty to theft of property>$2,500 but less than 30K. He was sentenced to 14 months confinement in a State Jail Facility, assessed a $500.00 fine. Baay was arrested on April 03, 2020, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.

Kimberly Renee Spillers, 32, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of a controlled, methamphetamine less than one gram. She was placed on 5 years probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service. Spillers was arrested on January 31, 2020, by Falls County Constable.
