FALLS COUNTY FELONY DOCKET

On April 15, 2021, Judge Bryan F. Russ, Jr. convened court to hear felony matters presented by District Attorney Jody Gilliam.  The following Felony cases were disposed of:  

 

2nd Degree Felony (2 to 20 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Anthony Dwayne Brooks, 31, from Marlin, pled guilty to assault strangulation with previous convictions. He was sentenced to 8 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, assessed a $1,500.00 fine. Brooks was arrested on December 07, 2020, by Marlin Police Department. 

Jonathan Dewyane Hicks, 19, from Marlin, pled guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon by threats. He was sentenced to 5 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, assessed a $1,000.00 fine. Hicks was arrested on July 22, 2020, by Marlin Police Department. 

 

3rd Degree Felony (2 to 10 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Justin Michael Bradley, 23, from Irving, pled guilty to injury to a disabled person. He was sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, assessed a $500.00 fine. Bradley was arrested on December 15, 2019, by Rosebud Police Department.  

Justin Michael Bradley, 23, from Irving, pled guilty to continuous violence against the family. He was sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, assessed a $500.00 fine. Bradley was arrested on December 15, 2019, by Rosebud Police Department.  

Justin Michael Bradley, 23, from Irving, pled guilty to cruelty non-livestock animal. He was sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, assessed a $500.00 fine. Bradley was arrested on December 15, 2019, by Rosebud Police Department.  

Sean Brandon Beasley, 40, from Troy, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, oxycodone over one gram but less than four grams. He was sentenced to 5 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. His sentence was suspended, and he was placed on 5 years probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 180 hours of community service, attend and successfully complete a drug intervention program. Beasley was arrested on November 19, 2019, by Lott Police Department.  

State Jail Felony (6 to 24 months, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Cassandra Sue Cooper Simpson, 47, from Rosebud, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than one gram. She was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service, and attend and successfully complete a drug intervention program. Simpson was arrested on September 21, 2021, by Lott Police Department.  

Sean Brandon Beasley, 40, from Troy, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, cocaine less than one gram. He was sentenced to 2 years confinement in a State Jail Facility. His sentence was suspended, and he was placed on 5 years probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 180 hours of community service. Beasley was arrested on November 19, 2019, by Lott Police Department.  

Massiel Aragonez, 20, from Cameron, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine less than one gram. She was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 180 hours of community service, and attend and successfully complete a drug intervention program. Aragonez was arrested on November 30, 2019, by Lott Police Department.
