Falls County Judge declares State of Disaster

Fall County Judge Jay Elliott declared a State of Disaster for Falls County on March 21.

The declaration activated Falls County Emergency Management’s plan.

It also states that there be no gatherings of more than 10 persons in Falls County, including service organizations, church functions, sporting activities, fitness centers and of civic functions. This does not include business activities or essential services.

It also closes all schools in the county and imposes a curfew on all persons 17 or younger in Falls County of 9 p.m. unless a parent of guardian accompanies them.

It also closes all bars and restaurants except for take-out services.

The declaration runs for seven days, at that time it will need to be renewed by the Falls County Commissioners Court.
