Falls County Sheriff’s Department welcomes new officers

The Falls County Sheriff’s Department recently welcomed two new officers to the department. Linda Mauldin and Case Channon were introduced to County Commissioners during their meeting on Feb. 10.

Deputy Mauldin, who worked for the City of Marlin Police Department until recently, will be the new Courthouse Security Officer. She will supervise the happenings at the Falls County Courthouse annex and ensure that the safety of citizens and officials alike are maintained.

Channon, who is fresh out of the academy, is still in his Field Training Officer stage. He was hired as a Patrol Officer and will help maintain the peace and safety of citizens around the county.

“They’ve been a great asset to us so far,” Falls County Sheriff Ricky Scaman told commissioners as he presented the officers.
