Homecoming events set for Marlin ISD

Marlin ISD will celebrate Homecoming 2022 with several events this week. 

MISD Superintendent Daryl Henson said, Homecoming is our opportunity to acknowledge our alumni, along with our current students, as they showcase their Bulldog spirit and reflect on the good times and memories made in school. In Marlin, Texas, Homecoming is an annual event where alumni and community members come together to celebrate and enjoy a parade through downtown and the Friday Night Lights of Legion Field.

 Events will kick off Friday with a Pep Rally at 12:45 p.m. atMarlin High School Gymnasium. All middle school and high school students will be at the high school for the pep rally. Middle school students will be released from the high school at 1:50 p.m. Elementary students are not attending the pep rally as a campus. If you would like to check out your child, you may do so beginning at 11 a.m. If you would like to attend the pep rally please enter through the front door and sign in. No one will be allowed in the vocational gates or vocational entrance for security purposes.

The Homecoming Parade is set for 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

The Homecoming Parade will start at the old Marlin Public Library (Oak St. and Green St.). We will then make a left on Capps St., a right on Walker St., then a right on Coleman St. We will then turn left on Ward St., left on Live Oak Rd., and end by turning left in the HS parking lot.

Deadline for entry fee and application is Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. Call MISD to register.

The Marlin Lady Bulldog Volleyball team will take on Rosebud-Lott at 4:30 p.m. at MHS.

Tailgating this year will be allowed from 3-7 p.m. At 7 p.m. all Bulldog supporters must move into the stadium to support the Bulldogs or vacate the premises. The Bulldogs take on Moody at Legion Field Friday night.
