Hospital CEO hopeful for the future

Did you know Texas leads the nation in rural hospital closures with 22 hospitals closing in the last 6 years?

On March 6, Marlin Democrat interim publisher, Don Moore, and reporter, Michael Moore, sat down with Falls County Hospital and Clinic CEO, Jeffrey Lyles, to talk about our Falls County medical facility and what kind of challenges it is facing as a rural provider.

Lyles, who arrived in Marlin during April 2018, is an affable bewhiskered gentleman with an easy laugh and a quick wit for figures and observations. He has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience with him to the position of local hospital CEO. And, he is dedicated to the proposition that our hospital can and should stay open in order to serve all of Falls County.
