Juneteenth Royalty

The 2021 Miss Juneteenth royalty was crowned on June 18. Crowned were: Zariya Dikibo, Miss Juneteenth  2021 (Bell County); Sarynity Kennedy, Lil Miss Juneteenth (Bell County); and Carolletha White, Jr.Miss Juneteenth (Falls County). There also a winner selected by the contestants  the Miss Congeniality, which was Natiah Travier (Bell County). Pageant organizers thank local supporters Jimmie Lynn State Farm Insurance Marlin, Tannys Soul Food Marlin, St. David Methodist Church - Marlin, Paul Funeral Home - Marlin, Muffins Kountry Kitchen - Rosebud, Hwy 77 Cafe - Rosebud, Cindy Tindell Farmer Group Insurance - Rosebud; and Bling It On Paparazzi Jewelry of Rosebud; along with Trinity New Life Fellowship Center Cameron. The pageant was held on Friday, June 18, just hours after the official signing marking Juneteenth a National Holiday. There were a total of 11 young ladies from Milam, Bell, and Falls County that were  contestants  at 2021 Tri-County Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant held at The St. Ann’s Center in Rosebud. The young ladies have been preparing for over a month attending workshops to teach them proper etiquette of being a young lady, proper walk of queen never let her crown fall and even coordination of dance and public speaking. While visiting Historical Black sites within the three counties (O.J. Thomas All Black High School Cameron, the former Bethune  Elementary School in Temple, BTW Alumi in Marlin and 140-year-old Oldest Historical Black Church Independent Missionary Baptist Church of Rosebud) the contestants learn the story and history of each venue .
