Local teens invited to participate in research study

The Falls County Agrilife Extension Office is teaming up with researchers from the USDA and Baylor college of Medicine for a new study, specific to Falls County teens.

The purpose of the study is to help researchers understand what affects rural teens’ eating and physical activity choices and how technology can help rural teens make healthy choices.

The study is open to teens between 14 and 17 years of age. Study activities will include online surveys, telephone interviews, and taking photos of situations that impact eating/physical habits.

Participants must speak either english or spanish, live in Falls County, have reliable internet access, and at least one parent willing to participate as well. Families will be financially compensated for their time.
