Marlin City Council tables scandalous candidate
On September 28 at 6:25 p.m., the city and county leaders held a “Special Called Meeting” to discuss and consider action on an agreement for Communication, Dispatch, and Administrative Services for the Police Department.
However, many were particularly eager to learn of the council’s decision on the controversial past Woodway City Manager and Police Chief Yost Zakhary for Interim Police Chief. Initially, Falls County Sheriff Ricky Scaman was on the agenda for this meeting, however he withdrew out of the running. With Marlin’s current Police Chief Mike Pesses retiring October 1st, city leaders assembled to set some sort of direction for the city and its residents, however it led to unanswered questions
