Marlin ISD board of managers holds meeting
The Marlin ISD Board of Managers was held Nov. 1 at the Marlin Middle School Library.
President Billy Johnson presided. All Board Managers were present.
Lawrence Galloway reported on the status of the Elementary and Middle School bathroom stalls with a recommendation to renovate ten.
J. Adam LeJeune presented the HB3: Additional Days School Year Plan (ADSY) for elementary students. This plan will be used to extend a more dynamic engagement, hands-on curriculum with emphasis on enrichment, social/emotional learning skills and noted as user-friendly. TEA and partnerships funding for the summer enrichment ADSY is $622,797 and will begin Summer 2022.
Mike and Kathy Collins were recognized for a $600 charitable donation to be used for academic purposes. The approval of the delegation of authority to the Superintendent for the replacement, construction, or repair of school equipment or facilities was presented.
Byrleen Terry moved to approve all agenda consent items, seconded by Marsha Ridlehuber. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned.
The next school board meeting is Nov. 15 at 4 p.m.
