Marlin ISD launches #BulldogsRead Challenge to encourage summer reads

During the dog days of summer, everything slows down. June and July are hot summer months and are called for snow cones, relaxing by the pool or going to a water park. It’s also a time to grab a great book of your choice from the local library, and dive into it while you sip lemonade.

To celebrate summer reading, join Marlin ISD Social Media #BulldogsRead Challenge! Each day during June 7 through July 30, simply post a picture of where you read that day.

You may read while eating breakfast, lounging by the pool, hanging out at grandma’s house, riding in a car while on vacation, or you may even listen to an audiobook while going for a walk with your pet. It can literally be anywhere.

Marlin ISD is committed to encouraging independent reading through student choice and our desire is to promote reading, daily. Here’s how to enter the #BulldogsRead Challenge: Follow Marlin ISD on Facebook or Twitter; Challenge is June 7 through July 30; every day during June 7 through July 30 post a pic of where you read that day; in your post, use the hashtag #BulldogsREAD and tag @MarlinISDTX

Make sure to post every day. A bag of Bulldog trinkets will be awarded to the most frequent poster. If needed, a tie breaker will go to the most creative.
