Marlin Junior Academy competes in UIL

Students from Marlin Junior Academy participated in a UIL competition in Riesel on Dec. 10 against Riesel, Mart, Dawson, Hallsburg, Bremond, and Hubbard. 

Students across all three grades participated in a number of different categories. Here are the students who competed:

Of the above mentioned students, Cornesia Shaw won Third Place in the 7th Grade Impromptu Speaking category and Kelly Escobar received Fourth Place in 7th grade Mathematics. Chesquaya Henry placed Fourth in 7th grade Science, along with Yarida DeLeon, who placed Fourth in 6th grade Mathematics. The MJA 6th Grade Mathematics Team won Second Place Overall.
